Can’t Stop! ~ God’s Orders
Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 3:16PM What I like about Celebrate Recovery the most is that we are able to bind up the brokenhearted and proclaim freedom for the captives of sin in Jesus’ name and release from darkness the prisoners of hurts, hang-ups, and habits!
We have been given the most important message! What have people been looking for since the beginning of time? Peace! That’s right, peace between our ears knowing that we can have eternal life. And we “get to” share that peace and life with others!
Remember back when you were a Newcomer? What were you looking for? For me, it wasn’t necessarily a relationship with Jesus. I was just looking for peace. That’s what I saw at that first meeting. I saw people living in peace of mind which led me to a relationship with Jesus!
So like Jeremiah, we have a message that will “wear us out if we try to hold it in”. Truly, “it’s like a fire in our bones that cannot be contained"! The most common question I get being the National “A” Coach is “How do I know if I am an “A”? If you can’t keep quiet about CR, you’re most likely an “A”. Pretty simple.
So as “A” Coaches, remember to work closely with your Ministry Leader and challenge them by setting up TV or radio interviews to promote CR. Ask your State Rep how you can help promote the One Day Seminars in your region. Encourage your local “E” Coach to plan a fellowship event and share with them your ideas to get the word out. Make sure you have an “A” Apprentice. Give them the opportunity to make your literature table a great resource. Get the picture? Don’t stop getting the word because your words may be falling on the ears of the next Newcomer that walks through the door!
Mary, my wife, who Pastor John Baker calls the “Little A” challenged me in a big way when she gave me this verse and added it to our testimony:
"As for me," God says, "this is my covenant with you: My Spirit that I've placed upon you and the words that I've given you to speak, they're not going to leave your mouths, nor the mouths of your children, nor the mouths of your grandchildren. You will keep repeating these words and won't ever stop." God's orders. Isaiah 59:21
The words of life are on your lips as we point others to Jesus Christ through Celebrate Recovery. So don’t ever stop getting the word out!
